About
The Role
The Architectural Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and supervising architectural projects, ensuring technical accuracy, aesthetic quality, and compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectural drawings and technical designs in accordance with project specifications and Saudi building codes.
- Participate in planning, design coordination, and project management activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery.
- Review and validate design documents, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Supervise on-site implementation to ensure compliance with approved designs, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to resolve design and construction issues.
- Assist in project budgeting, cost estimation, and resource planning.
- Prepare progress reports, documentation, and technical presentations for management and clients.
- Ensure all architectural work complies with Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) regulations and relevant authority requirements.
- Support the development of sustainable and efficient building designs.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and draftsmen.
Key Competencies and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering (master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Accreditation:
Valid membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE). - Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
- Proficient in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Lumion, and related tools.
- Adequate knowledge of project planning and construction supervision.
- Familiarity with MS Project or Primavera for scheduling and tracking project progress.
- Excellent level of English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Saudi National is a mandatory requirement.
