Role: Architectural Draftsman (Auto CAD) – Technical Drawing Specialist
The Architectural Draftsman is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating high-quality architectural and technical drawings for Lloyd Design’s interior fit-out projects. The role requires close coordination with the Design, Estimation, and Site teams to ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, Dubai Municipality regulations, and company drafting standards.
The successful candidate should possess excellent AutoCAD skills, strong technical knowledge of architectural detailing, and the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines. Site visits for measurements and verification may be required whenever necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural & Technical Drafting
· Prepare detailed architectural drawings including:
o Floor Plans
o Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP)
o Elevations
o Sections
o Detail Drawings
o Shop Drawings
o Coordination Drawings
· Produce accurate architectural details, finishes, material junctions, and termination details.
· Prepare drawings suitable for client, consultant, authority, and construction submissions.
AutoCAD & Documentation
· Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD.
· Strong working knowledge of XREF management.
· Maintain proper:
o Layer management
o Line weights
o Annotation styles
o Plot styles (CTB/STB)
o Drawing standards
· Ensure CAD files remain organized, lightweight, and free from unnecessary references.
Coordination
· Coordinate drawings with:
o Interior Design Team
o Joinery Team
o MEP Team
o Estimation Team
o Site Engineers
· Incorporate consultant and client comments promptly.
· Resolve drawing clashes before construction.
Technical Support
· Prepare authority submission drawings in accordance with Dubai Municipality and other relevant authority requirements.
· Extract schedules, quantities, layouts, and drawing sheets accurately.
· Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
Site Support
· Conduct site visits when required.
· Take site measurements and verify dimensions.
· Update drawings based on actual site conditions.
· Support the project team during execution.
Qualifications
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in:
· Architecture
· Interior Design
· Civil Engineering
· Architectural Engineering
· Or a related discipline
Requirements:
· 2–3 years of professional interior fitout technical drafting experience.
· Minimum 2 years working with an interior fit-out company or international consultant in the UAE.
· Experience in commercial, retail, hospitality, and office fit-out projects is preferred.
· Strong understanding of UAE construction practices and authority requirements.
Pay: AED6,000.00 – AED8,000.00 per month
