We are looking for a talented Application Support Engineer to join our team and play a key role in managing and optimizing production applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor Application Health & Performance:
Utilize tools like App Dynamics, Splunk, and New Relic to ensure the health and performance of production applications.
Incident Response:
Respond to application incidents and service disruptions in real-time to minimize downtime, ensuring continuous service availability.
Issue Resolution:
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while collaborating with development and infrastructure teams.
Incident Logging & Documentation:
Maintain incident logs and document resolution steps in ITSM systems like Service Now or Jira for tracking and accountability.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA):
Perform in-depth root cause analysis for recurring or critical incidents and implement permanent fixes to prevent future issues.
Support Deployments & Post-Release Validation:
Assist in application deployments, hotfixes, and validate releases during production deployments to ensure seamless transitions.
Manage Job Schedules & Batch Processes:
Use tools like Control-M or Autosys to manage and schedule jobs, batch processes, and background services effectively.
Collaborate with Other Teams:
Work with database, infrastructure, and security teams to resolve system-level issues, ensuring optimal application performance.
Low-Code Platform Support:
Familiar with low-code platforms like K2 or Power Platform to monitor, troubleshoot, and support process automation workflows.
On-Call Support:
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for production environments, ensuring quick resolutions when needed.
Adherence to SLAs & KPIs:
Ensure all activities are aligned with service-level agreements (SLAs) and operational key performance indicators (KPIs).
Monitoring & Automation:
Implement and verify monitoring alerts, thresholds, and automation for efficient issue detection and resolution.
Compliance & Audits:
Assist in compliance activities, audit reviews, and incident reporting as required.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
3+ Years Experience in the same field
Expertise in production support and incident management
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as App Dynamics, Splunk, or New Relic
Hands-on experience with ITSM systems like Service Now or Jira
Strong understanding of low-code platforms (K2, Power Platform)
Experience with job scheduling and batch process management (Control-M, Autosys)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Excellent communication skills and team collaboration
