We are looking for a responsible, compassionate, and experienced Animal / Pet Handler to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should be confident in handling different types of domestic animals and committed to ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely handle, restrain, and transport animals as required for examinations, treatments, grooming, or other procedures.
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary nurses with safe animal handling and restraint.
- Feed, exercise, and provide basic daily care to animals according to established schedules and instructions.
- Monitor animals for changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, or general condition and report any concerns to the veterinary team.
- Maintain clean, hygienic, and comfortable animal housing, kennels, cages, and handling areas.
- Follow proper infection-control, sanitation, and animal welfare procedures.
- Assist with the safe movement and transfer of animals within the facility.
- Maintain animal handling equipment and ensure that all tools and areas are clean and ready for use.
- Follow safety protocols to minimize stress and prevent injury to animals, colleagues, and visitors.
- Provide calm and professional support when dealing with pet owners and members of the veterinary team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience as an Animal Handler, Pet Handler, Kennel Assistant, Veterinary Assistant, Animal Caretaker, or similar role is preferred.
- Practical experience handling dogs, cats, and other domestic animals.
- Basic understanding of animal behavior, welfare, hygiene, and safe restraint techniques.
- Physically fit and able to safely lift, carry, and control animals when required.
- Patient, attentive, responsible, and comfortable working with animals of different sizes and temperaments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Veterinary clinic or animal hospital experience is an advantage.
Pay: From AED1.00 per month
