Position: Anesthesia Technician/ Specialist
Duties And Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia services to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia care provider. Clean, disinfect, order/stock, and maintain routine anesthesia equipment and supplies. Maintain anesthesia medications, supplies, and equipment according to needs and schedules. Clean, organize, and maintain the anesthesia workroom, supplies, and equipment. Prepare and maintain patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems pre, intra, and post-anesthesia, considering age-specific issues related to various patient groups.
Prepare for epidural, spinal, and caudal anesthesia. Prepare for central line and dialysis catheter insertions. Prepare for ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and vascular access. Perform basic troubleshooting for monitors and equipment and report defective equipment and malfunctions appropriately. Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Prepare, administer, and monitor medications and I.V. fluids under the direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia care provider.
Assist in airway management using different airway management tools. Assist in the appropriate positioning of patients intraoperatively. If responsible for monitoring the patient’s physiological parameters and assisting in supportive or resuscitative measures, must be competent in at least:

Promote effective working relationships with anesthesia department staff and work collaboratively with RN teams, Surgical Technicians, Service Technicians, and Equipment Technicians. Monitor and report any issues related to safety in the immediate work area. Demonstrate compassionate

while providing support and care to patients, as “the patient is the center of our care.”

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
BSN-Diploma graduate with anesthesia technician qualification from an institution or Bachelor nursing with
structured training
in anesthesia assistance.
Experience:
2 years’ experience in a Tertiary Care Center. Language:
Fluent in English. Fluency in Arabic is also preferred. Required Licenses: SCFHS, MOH License, BLS. #J-18808-Ljbffr
