Job Overview:
The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial management, investment strategy, and risk assessment for a diversified portfolio of companies under the investment firm. This role involves strategic financial planning, capital allocation, financial reporting, and ensuring the financial health of the company and its subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company’s investment goals.
Align financial planning with long-term business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth.
Optimize capital structure, balancing debt and equity financing.
Investment Oversight & Portfolio Management
Evaluate new investment opportunities, conducting financial due diligence and risk analysis.
Monitor and enhance the performance of portfolio companies through financial restructuring, cost optimization, and strategic guidance.
Work closely with investment teams to analyze ROI, market trends, and expansion opportunities.
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across all portfolio companies.
Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and regulatory requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
Present financial reports to the Board and investors, providing insights and recommendations.
Risk Management & Compliance
Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks within the portfolio.
Ensure tax efficiency and compliance with corporate tax, VAT, and transfer pricing regulations.
Implement strong internal controls and governance frameworks.
Capital Raising & Investor Relations
Lead fundraising efforts, including debt financing, private equity investments, and capital markets strategies.
Develop strong relationships with banks, institutional investors, and financial partners.
Communicate investment performance and financial outlook to stakeholders.
Operational & Strategic Leadership
Support CEOs and CFOs of portfolio companies in improving financial performance.
Lead M&A transactions, structuring deals, and overseeing post-acquisition integration.
Drive digital transformation and financial technology adoption across the group.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: CPA, CFA, CA, or MBA in Finance/Accounting/Economics.
Experience: Minimum 12+ years in financial leadership, preferably in an investment firm, private equity, or diversified holding company.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of investment structures, M&A, corporate tax, and capital markets.
Skills: Excellent financial modeling, risk assessment, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
Preferred Background:
Experience managing financial operations across multiple sectors (e.g., fintech, healthcare, real estate, hospitality, etc.).
Familiarity with Middle East, UK, or international regulatory frameworks.
Proven track record in capital raising, fund structuring, and investor relations.
