About the Division

The Measurement & Analytics Division is among the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analyzers, working at the heart of industrial digital transformation. Its portfolio includes analyzers measuring the composition of gases and liquids; instrumentation measuring process variables such as temperature, pressure, flow, and level; force measurement solutions for flatness, thickness, and tension; and advanced digital solutions for device management, health checks, and predictive maintenance.

The Division serves key industries such as oil and gas, chemical, water and wastewater, power, hydrogen, batteries, and marine, enabling optimization of industrial processes by providing and analyzing data from sensing and smart measurement devices.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain extensive expertise in ABB Field Analyzers, including PGC 2000/5000, CEMS, FTIR (FTPA 2000 series), NGC 8206/8209, Photometers (PIR 3502, PUV 3402), ACFNT, ACF 5000, and Liquid Analyzers.
  • Commission, troubleshoot, calibrate, validate, and repair analyzers, sample systems, analyzer shelters, PLCs, and safety logic, diagnosing and improving sample handling systems.
  • Set up and troubleshoot Modbus/OPC/TCP-IP communication loops, integrate third party systems, and resolve connectivity issues with AMADAS systems.
  • Operate and document analyzers used in refineries, petrochemical, cement, paper, power, metals/minerals, and water/wastewater sectors; propose service contracts and prepare ABB documentation and reports.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Chemistry.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience with analyzers/instruments, including at least 5 years in the field.
  • Strong proficiency in ABB analyzers (PGC 2000/5000, CEMS, FTIR, NGC 8206/8209, Photometers, ACFNT, ACF 5000, Liquid Analyzers), including commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, and integration with sample systems and communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP).
  • Familiarity with analyzer applications across refineries, petrochemical, cement, paper, power, metals/minerals, and water/wastewater sectors; ability to recommend ABB products and service contracts and handle documentation per ABB standards.
  • Prior working experience in Saudi Arabia (KSA) is essential.
