ALUMINIUM FABRICATOR TECHNICIAN Jobs in Doha at Ismail Bin Ali Aluminium – IBA
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To assist the Production & Manufacturing Manager in all aspects of Fabrication of Aluminium Doors, Windows and Curtain Wall in line with the production schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Fabrication & Assembly:
· Cut, shape, weld, and assemble Aluminium profiles to create custom windows, doors, curtain walls, partitions, and other architectural elements.
· Install and seal glass panels, including toughened, laminated, or insulated glass, ensuring proper fitting, finishing, and weatherproofing.
· Measure, cut, and finish materials to size and ensure precision in all fabrications.
· Work with a variety of finishes such as anodized, powder-coated, or brushed Aluminium for aesthetic and functional purposes.
b. Glass Installation:
· Remove, replace, or install windows, doors, mirrors, and other glass-based products.
· Install glass to required specifications, ensure smooth, even application and using appropriate bonding and sealing materials.
· Handle glass safely and securely, using suitable tools and techniques to avoid damage during transportation, cutting, and fitting.
c. Repairs & Maintenance:
· Provide repairs for damaged windows, doors, and glass elements, including re-glazing, re-sealing, and re-aligning faulty units.
· Assess and diagnose Aluminium or glass-related issues and recommend suitable solutions for repairs or replacements.
d. Safety & Compliance:
· Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when working with heavy materials and glass.
· Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and client specifications.
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring the safety of yourself, clients, and surrounding structures.
e. Documentation:
· Record project details, including measurements, materials used, and installation notes.
· Provide before-and-after photos of completed projects, client feedback, and any warranty or maintenance documentation as required.
· Maintain time sheets, parts usage, and any discrepancies related to material handling.
a. Client Communication:
· Liaise with clients to confirm project requirements, present design solutions, and agree on installation dates.
· Ensure high levels of customer service, including addressing any post-installation issues and providing maintenance advice.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- from Philippines (here in Qatar or outside Qatar)
- Should possess a high degree of product knowledge in a variety of Aluminium Systems.
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Aluminium Fabrication based role
- Be able to priorities and organize work efficiently and effectively.
- Be driven to achieve objectives, regardless of problems.
- Be energetic and enthusiastic, proactively offering proposals.
- Achieve team objectives.
- Transmit information in a clear, concise and confident manner.
- Be consistent, accurate and ensure that procedures are followed.
