Role Description The AI Community Ambassador is a volunteer role based in Riyadh with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site activities with some work-from-home flexibility. This role focuses on building and nurturing a community of AI practitioners, researchers, students, and decision-makers around AIcast’s content and initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with the community across digital platforms, supporting events and meetups, gathering feedback on content and resources, and helping connect audience needs with AIcast’s editorial and product teams. The ambassador will help promote AIcast’s newsletters, reports, and tools, contribute to community discussions, and identify collaboration opportunities with universities, professional groups, and local organizations. The role also involves tracking community sentiment, sharing insights to improve engagement strategies, and representing AIcast’s values in public and online interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and their impact on Saudi Arabia’s digital and economic landscape.
- Community engagement skills, including experience moderating online groups, organizing meetups, or participating in professional or student communities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly beneficial.
- Comfort using social media, messaging platforms, and basic digital tools to coordinate activities, share content, and respond to community members.
- Ability to collaborate with editorial and technical teams, convey community feedback, and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment.
- Self-directed and reliable, with the ability to manage time effectively in a hybrid volunteer setup based in Riyadh.
- Background in AI, data, computer science, public policy, or related fields (academic study, professional experience, or active learning) is a plus.
- Prior experience in advocacy, student leadership, tech clubs, or professional associations is an advantage but not required.
