What We’re Looking For
Mandatory Requirements:
Banking Experience: Minimum 3 years in the banking sector, with expertise in financial derivatives, trade finance products, and cash management.
Core Banking System: Strong hands-on experience with Temenos T24 for financial reporting and transactions.
Financial Systems: Proficiency in Oracle Financials, Oracle GL, and other financial reporting tools.
Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) with strong IFRS knowledge
Behavioral & Technical Competencies:
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Time management and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Expertise in MIS reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and risk assessment.
About the Role :
We are seeking a Financial Reporting Consultant with a strong background in banking and financial reporting to join our team on a 3-month contract. This role requires expertise in Temenos T24, Oracle Financials, and a deep understanding of IFRS, financial derivatives, and trade finance products. Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements for the parent company and subsidiaries.
Compute daily product yields, cost of deposits, cost of funds, and net interest margins at product and segment levels.
Reconcile financial data across various IT applications with the Oracle Reporting System.
Accounting & Compliance
Track and monitor investments, bank placements, loans, deposits, and derivatives transactions.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and advise on new accounting policies and reporting standards.
Coordinate with Risk & Collection teams for NPL and ECL calculations as per IFRS 9.
Ensure timely and accurate period-end closing entries in compliance with IFRS/IAS.
Budgeting & Performance Analysis
Conduct budget variance analysis and collaborate with stakeholders for budget reallocations.
Provide financial reporting support for new product implementations, including policy and system testing.
Audit & Compliance Reporting
Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of core banking products.
Prepare financial and non-financial disclosures for interim and annual financial statements.
Assist in providing auditor-required reports and financial analyses.
