We are seeking a highly motivated and experiencedAR Manager/Senior Supervisorto one of our clients in the real estate industry. To manage the Accounts Receivable (AR) function. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of AR operations, including billing, collections, andcash flow management. This role involvesleadershipof the AR team, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the timely and accurate recording of receivables.
The AR Manager/Senior Supervisor will play a key role in optimizing cash flow and ensuring financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management:
Oversee and manage the AR team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts.
Ensure all customer accounts are billed in accordance with contracts and payment terms.
Develop and implement efficient processes for billing, collections, and dispute resolution.
Review and approve AR journal entries, ensuring proper allocation of payments and adjustments
Collections &Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage outstanding receivables, ensuring timely collection of payments and adherence to credit terms.
Develop and execute strategies to minimize overdue accounts and reduce the aging of receivables.
Work with the finance team to forecast cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
Provide regular reports on AR aging, cash collections, and trends tosenior management
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate smooth billing, collections, and payment processes.
Handle and resolve any disputes or queries related to invoices or payments in a professional and timely manner.
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure alignment between invoicing and project milestones.
TeamLeadership& Development:
Lead and mentor the AR team, setting performance goals, providing coaching, and ensuring adherence to accounting policies and best practices.
Conduct regular training sessions for team members to enhance their skills in AR processes and customer service.
Ensure a high level of accuracy and efficiency within the AR team, driving performance andcontinuous improvement.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and present regular AR aging reports, highlighting overdue accounts, collections performance, and potential risks.
Analyze AR trends and recommend actions to improve collections and reduce delinquencies.
Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of AR balances, contributing to the overall financial close process.
Process Improvement & SystemOptimization:
Continuously evaluate and improve AR processes to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize cash flow.
Work with the IT and finance teams to implement new software, tools, or automation solutions for the AR function.
Stay updated on industry best practices for AR management and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory orleadershiprole.
Strong knowledge of AR processes, billing, collections, andcash flow management.
