Job Title: Finance Manager/ Accounts
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the complete finance and accounting functions of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, effective cost control, cash flow management, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. The role requires strong experience in handling finance operations within a trading or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely closing of accounts and reporting to management.
- Review general ledger, reconciliations, and financial records.
- Prepare management reports including revenue analysis, profitability reports, and cost analysis.
2. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Monitor budget performance and highlight variances.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability.
- Support management in strategic decision-making through financial insights.
3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Manage cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds.
- Monitor receivables, payables, and working capital requirements.
- Develop strategies to improve collections and optimize cash utilization.
- Coordinate with banks for banking facilities, loans, and financial arrangements.
4. Trading / Manufacturing Finance Operations
- Monitor profitability of products, projects, and business units.
- Analyze gross margins, pricing, and cost structures.
- For Trading:
- Monitor inventory purchases, supplier payments, sales margins, and stock movement.
- Analyze product-wise profitability.
- For Manufacturing:
- Monitor production costs, raw material consumption, overheads, and costing.
- Prepare product costing and variance analysis reports.
- Support inventory valuation and cost control.
5. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
- Ensure timely supplier payments and customer collections.
- Review ageing reports and follow up on overdue receivables.
- Establish effective credit control procedures.
- Manage vendor and customer account reconciliations.
6. Tax & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations (VAT, Corporate Tax, etc.).
- Coordinate with auditors for annual audits.
- Maintain proper documentation and financial records.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and government authorities when required.
7. Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Strengthen internal controls to minimize financial risks.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
8. Team Management
- Lead and supervise the Finance & Accounts team.
- Allocate tasks and review team performance.
- Train and guide team members on accounting practices.
- Ensure timely completion of finance activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional qualification such as CA is a must
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a trading or manufacturing company.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.
