The Accounting Manager for Shared Services is responsible for overseeing accounting operations across multiple business units within a centralized service model. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, tax and compliance management, process standardization, and continuous improvement of accounting functions while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
Manage inter company reconciliation
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance on complex accounting and taxation issues
Standardize and optimize accounting processes across business units to improve efficiency and accuracy
Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings
Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their unique needs while maintaining standardized processes
Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with VAT, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing and other relevant laws and regulations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the shared services accounting function
Partner with IT to enhance accounting systems and implement automation tools
Manage back up plan for all the branches to ensure smooth functioning.
Manage internal and external audits and make sure that the audit is completed as per company policy.
Provide analytical support for business decisions and financial planning
SPECIFIC JOB CRITERIA
CPA/CMA/ACCA
10+ years of experience with at least 2 years in management role
Hands-on experience is accounting up to finalization and audit
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements
Proficiency with ERP systems preferably SAP B1
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively across departments
Team leadership and staff development
Process standardization and optimization
Cross-functional collaboration
Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy
Experience in working in a shared services or multi-entity environment is an added advantage
