We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both Arabic and English, possess strong technical accounting knowledge, and have hands-on experience with UAE accounting practices, VAT, and Corporate Tax compliance.

Job Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations, and providing professional support to Arabic- and English-speaking clients. The successful candidate should be capable of handling multiple client accounts while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple client companies.
  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare management reports and financial analysis.
  • Assist clients with accounting inquiries and financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and review VAT returns in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
  • Assist with Corporate Tax compliance, calculations, and return preparation.
  • Support external audits and internal audit assignments.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and audit working papers.
  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Liaise with government authorities and clients regarding accounting and tax matters when required.
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation and accounting files.
  • Support business setup clients with accounting and compliance requirements.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably within an accounting, bookkeeping, audit, or consultancy firm.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax.
  • Sound understanding of IFRS and accounting principles.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo, Tally, Sage, or similar ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client portfolios and meet strict deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent (completed or in progress).
  • Experience working in an accounting, audit, or tax consultancy firm.
  • Familiarity with UAE Free Zone and Mainland business structures.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, WPS, and UAE labour-related financial compliance.
