Job description: Accountant
We are looking for an experienced and Qualified / Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant to supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day accounts department activities. The candidate should have relevant experience in the UAE. The candidate will be working closely with the management. The candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, budgets, cash flow, financial reporting, audits, tax compliance, strategic planning, and team management.
Responsibilities:
• Manage financial records, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements
• Manage the organization’s cash flow, including accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and present financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
• Coordinate audits with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and prepare and file tax returns
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy
Requirements and skills:
• Proven working experience as an Accounts Manager preferably in an AUDIT FIRM
• Advanced computer skills in MS Excel, accounting software (preferably XERO), and databases
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, IFRS, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce required financial reports, budgets, or client account statements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Leadership abilities including client communication, e-mail communication skills, etc.
• ACCA, CA, CPA, or similar relevant qualifications.
• 1-2 years of experience, preferably in an Audit firm or Accounting Service Provider.
