Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting the finance department with timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare and record journal entries, invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and supplier accounts.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare VAT returns.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Process payroll and employee expense claims (if applicable).
- Support inventory reconciliation and cost analysis where required.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or CA is an advantage.
- Experience in logistics, trading, shipping, or freight forwarding is preferred.
