Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a commitment to maintaining the company’s financial health.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Monitor and track financial transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure tax compliance.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Assist with audits and provide required financial data to external auditors.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
Maintain and update financial systems and records.
Ensure that all accounting practices comply with legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent is a plus.
