Strategy

• Support the development and implementation of maintenance protocols aligned with RTA safety standards and international regulations, recommending updates based on field observations, regulatory changes, and asset performance data.
• Provide technical inputs to improve the durability and sustainability of section assets and public road furniture infrastructure.

Operations

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections of section assets, documenting findings, escalating hazards and defects, and providing feedback to improve maintenance quality.
• Verify compliance of work activities with approved drawings, material specifications, and design standards.
• Document inspection findings, escalate defects, hazards, and service requests to related teams for resolution.
• Coordinate with contractors to schedule and monitor maintenance and repair activities; verify completion, material availability, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Respond to urgent or emergency damage reports, overseeing temporary or permanent rectification measures.
• Evaluate the condition and life expectancy of section assets, recommending replacements when required.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and visual updates on maintenance status, progress, and challenges to the Team Leader/Manager.
• Verify the availability of materials and follow up with team leader for procurement.
• Maintain and update inspection schedules, ensuring systematic re-inspection and timely defect rectification.
• Ensure work teams comply with health and safety procedures during maintenance activities.

Product / Process Improvement

• Perform quality assurance checks on ongoing and completed works, including materials validation and workmanship review.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance activities, and asset conditions to support decision-making and lifecycle planning.
• Suggest technical enhancements to section assets to improve safety, efficiency, and resilience.
• Participate in surveys and provide structured data and technical reports to engineers for planning improvements.
• Ensure all completed works are accurately recorded in the system for performance tracking and audit readiness.
• Support integration of smart inspection tools, digital logs, and mobile data collection systems to streamline reporting and monitoring.
• Physical Working Conditions
• Conduct frequent site inspections in outdoor and traffic-exposed environments to verify execution, evaluate asset conditions, and audit contractors.
• Maintain 24/7 on-call availability as part of RTA’s Emergency Team, ensuring immediate response to accidents and damages to safeguard road user safety.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Technical/Engineering Diploma or Industrial High School

Experience: 0-1 year in case of Technical/ Engineering Diploma (2+ years in case of Industrial High

School) in related field
